Live ATC during the Flight...

Postby Fozzer » Sat May 19, 2007 5:19 am

Don't forget, Chums.... :)...

If you fancy a spot of live ATC in the area which you are flying, select the area from the list here....>>>>

http://www.liveatc.net/feedindex.php

I pick up the Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco Air Traffic Control during my daily flights in the local areas...;)...!

....relieves the monotony...and gives you the opportunity of infringing their Airspace, and completely ignoring ATC's desperate commands for you to comply with their requests... (as we do!)...;)... ;D...!

Paul... 8-)...!

Patience... ;)...Depending upon the time of day, or night, there may be little Airport activity... :)...!

P.S. A few more, ATC and Webcams.....>>>>

..and trusty old....>>>>

For an even better experience, combine the live ATC feed with a list of arrivals/departures as shown www.flightstats.com so you can predict which aircraft ATC will be landing next and get more info on each plane they're talking to. Cool!

From LiveATC.net
It is illegal to provide air traffic control feeds from within the U.K. due to an antiquated law that dates back to 1942.

The antiquated law states that although it is not illegal to sell, buy or own a scanning receiver in the U.K., it must only be used to listen to transmissions meant to be broadcast to the general public.

OFCOM has stated on numerous occasions: "It is an offence to listen to any other radio services unless you are authorised by a designated person to do so."

This means that it is illegal to listen to anything other than general reception transmissions unless you are either a licensed user of the frequencies in question or have been specifically authorized to do so by an authorized person.

Silly old laws...   ::) :P

LOL... ;D...!

I often listen to these live ATC feeds from the U.S. Airports...

..and I keep saying to myself; "Pardon! Would you please repeat your last transmission?".

How Pilots, and ATC staff, understand what each other are saying, is a complete and utter mystery to me.... :o...!

A sudden burst of; "Oivjveiei pouijdksv asopiaopd?"....
Followed by the reply; "Roger".

..and I think; "What was that all about?".... :o... :-[...?

No way could I be a Real Commercial Pilot... ;)...!!

Tee-Hee... ;D...!

Paul.....what was that again? ... :-?....!

I'm ok then!!  I have an RT licence  :)
I was once stopped by the police on top of terminal 3 car park at Heathrow. You should have seen their faces when I produced the licence from my pocket. They couldn't do anything!!!

It is illegal here in Italy too, ever since 1922 (the year Mussolini sized the power) and that law was never revised ever since.

Not "silly old laws" here, but stupid fascist idiocies ever since and forever.

"On April 29 the bodies of Mussolini and his mistress were taken to the Piazzale Loreto (Milan) and hung upside down on meat hooks. They were hung this way, along with those of other fascists, to show the population the dictator was dead. This was both to discourage any fascists to continue the fight and an act of revenge for the hanging of many partisans in the same place by Axis authorities. The corpse of the deposed leader became subject to ridicule and abuse by many who felt oppressed by the former Italian dictator's policies."

...nothing has changed much since then?*.... ::)...!

Sadly, no, Foz.

7 laws over 10 he forced at his times are still enforced as we speak, perhaps not with the same zest, but still are.

Nothing much has changed ever since. The italian governments still are pretty much what they ever were.
