Need help once again

Postby wyodeacon » Sun May 13, 2007 12:42 am

I've got a problem.  The aircraft I had selected to load when I loaded the game somehow got corrupted and now the game won't load because it says I have an aircraft initialization failure.  I tried reloading the aircraft but apparently it's not exactly the same one cause I still get the error message.  I looked in program files in the FS9 folder trying to find where the aircraft is saved thinking I could change it, but I couldn't find it.  My next (radical) solution was to uninstall and re-install the game but I don't want to erase all the files so it just comes up the same way.
Can someone tell me where to find this so I can change the aircraft to something else that will let me load the game?

Hi,

just delete your FS9.cfg and then start your sim. It will reset most settings including the default aircraft. FS9.cfg can be found here: C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9. All add-ons will stay as they were so don't worry about that.

Good luck,

Crash ;)

A less destructive way to do it is to edit

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
