How To Import VC?

Postby Andi » Tue May 08, 2007 4:45 pm

Hi Folks!

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to import the VC from the default LearJet into another model?  If so, how do you do it?   :-/

I have a flyable Dominie T1 that I'd like to use with some tasty RAF Cranwell scenery, but, this model came without sound, 2D or VC panels.  I've managed to import a good sound file, plus the 2D panel and Airfile from the Lear'.  It's just the VC that's missing now.

Any help/suggestions gratefully listened to (just don't get too technical on me ... I'm strictly a 'cut&paste' and 'tweek-it-a-little-bit' type of simmer.   ;)

What you want to do is possible to an extent under "the cross", not in FS9. :P

[smiley=smiley_up.gif] He means it's possible in FSX but not previous versions of FS.

Cut the guy some slack, Hagar. It's hardly a difficult task to understand what's meant for. ;D

Andi is a new member. It's unlikely he would know what you mean by "the cross". :P

Hagar's right.  I thought for a minute there that Ashaman was some kind of religious nut (maybe he is ... "frankly, my dear, I don't give a d###").  I know you're based in Italy, Ash', and English may not be your Mother tongue, but it looks like you've picked up some bad linguistic habits from frequenting these posts.   ::)  Also, my mother always said it's rude to put your tongue out ....  :P

So, I take it swapping the default Lear VC into another a/c can't be done (in fs9) ...  :(    :'(

Happy Landings!

Alright, my bad, sorry. :-[

It wasn't made with bad intentions, and I'm basically a curchless person (not atheist, I simply don't adhere to a cult). ;)

I'll be more attentive to the message count next time. Pinky swear. :)

To answer your question correctly then: No, in FS9 you can't "attach" a VC from a plane to another. In FSX you can, but is something more complex than a simple "alias" command, like in 2D panels. :P

Simply M$ did not think that giving the users of FSX a so easy a way was a good, or maybe viable thing. Or maybe they did not think at all. :-X

I've been around a while and I don't know what "the cross" is. I just saw it the other day. I call it "The X," as in "extraneous" software on my computer...
emachines T6212; AMD Athlon64 3800+ (2.40 GHz; Venice core); Allied AL-B500E 500W power supply; 2048Mb PC3200 DDR400; Westinghouse LCM-22w2 wide-screen LCD monitor; eVGA e-GeForce 7900 GS KO X16 PCIe video card; Logitech Extreme 3D Pro flight controller;<
