Ever had this problem???

Postby captjim » Fri Apr 27, 2007 7:45 am

:-[ Hi fellow simmers, captjim here again,  on occasion I have downloaded some of our aircraft, both prop and jet.  A lot of the time I just start on the runway.  The problem is, even though the props are turning and the jets are running, when I advance the throttle the plane just sits there.  It will not move. Any suggestions??? (I have the Microsoft Feedback stick),  Thanks, captjim

All the airplanes behave like that? Or only the Add-ons? All the add-ons or only selected few? :-?

Stupid question: are you sure you've disengaged the parking brake before giving throttle? :-[

Sane question: which planes exactly give you this problem? Tell me so I can download them too and try them out. :)

Or did you save your last flight with the autopilot on?

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Coming right now from LIBA (personal experimentation airfield I took away from the military), after having regularly crashed the plane indicated. 8-)

The plane seems... well, to be diplomatic I'll only say the I've seen better tri-engines (seems almost as detailed as an AI plane), and has too much power to be realistic seen the kind of plane, but beside that, it works as advertised. ;)

Tried to make it move with parking brake engaged too, and beside a tendency of wanting to raise on the main gear and the smallest crawl did not go. I repeat my stupid question. ;)

If you did release the parking brake, could it be that your sim is allergic to french planes? ;D

Can't really find a reason it should not work on your sim. :-/
