Welcome, welcome and again, welcome to the experience of flight. I never thought that I would be such a flight junkie when I started out some months back. Man, I eat, drink and sleep simming. I have started here at work sending some of my screenshots to other simmers. They weren't really simmers. Since then they are totally simming crazy.

A joystick, now that is the thing. I started off with a real cheapie. The real basic thing. If I think back, in your money it would have been around $5.00 price. It worked and it did its thing that I wanted it to do. When I got my Logitek Pro, I struggled at first the twist handle effect. I am getting the hang of it now. Enjoyment galore.

Pedals, I have never had the experience of using them. TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE HERE. South Africas currency is weak.

Remember just one thing; MAKE IT AS REAL AS POSSIBLE.

Chin up, they're obscenely expensive here too, in italy. I'm making due with the pedals from a way cheaper driving wheel. It's not the same like the real thing, but it works for me. ;)

After I posted that, I actually found the built in flight log, but it seems to be very minimal. Logs time in the air for day and night, amount of time spent in VFR and IFR, the pilot and the plane, and not much else. I was hoping it would be a lot more in depth. The ideal thing would be a program with an interface similar to the "View Flight Analysis" screen showing your flight path, altitude chart, etc.

You could get a real (bound paper) logbook... usually about US$8 .

Where did I bash M$ in the last post? I said aviation pedals for simulators are extremely expensive here where I live too. Where does M$ enter in this? :-?

Oh? :-?

Everyone does it free of problem, but if I do it is offensive?

Heck of a double standard. :-X

That and I saw no rule against calling it such. Am I wrong? ::)

Yes.

On a more serious note, a minority say it.
