Quick question and this can be deleted after answered...

On FS2004 is it possible that if you make a stop at a airport during a flight that you can refuel?

You don't even have to land.....

Hit Alt, aircraft menu and i think its fuel and payload, on there you can change the amount ;)

Or.. taxi over to the fuel pump and come to a complete stop. I can't remember if you have to shut the engines down too..

You have to let the engines shut down completely if you are next to a pump.

You can also use a key command (I believe the default is the comma key) to top off. You have to be on a field with a pump, but I don't think you have to be right next to it or have the engine(s) stopped.
I don't recall exactly because I usually use the Alt>Aircraft> Fuel and Payload method.

...the best plan, of course, is not to run out of fuel...use the fuel menu to load what you need + some before engine start, then off you go.  but with small ga planes that would actually go to a pump (instead of being fueled on the spot, like commercial and corporate traffic), taxiing over there is reasonable.  my $.02...
