Postby mipa » Mon Apr 23, 2007 9:27 am

Hi everybody.

I started to download the SRTM-Data from the download section.
If you install all the SRTM-Data will there be any effect on the loading times?
is it better to only download only the areas i fly mostly.

thanks for your help.

best wishes

Mesh has very little incidence on loading times. Not zero, but very little. :)

Landclass is what really bogs down loading times, not mesh. ::)

As for the areas to download, remember that mesh takes up space on your HD, but beside that , no other problem really.

Mind your HD space and go for it. ;)

When I was on Dail-up connection, because of the large files,  I only downloaded the areas I regularly flew over.
I have since purchased the "FS Global" CD's which cover the whole World, to save me the problem of installing all the seperate SRTM files... :)...!
