Tips

Postby a1 » Thu Apr 19, 2007 7:54 pm

ok anyone got any tips on what airports are the best? i mean by scenery and the quality of the surrounding area. If you know any major US airport scenery that is well created then by all means post it.

I would also like tips on how to increase the realism to the Sim. Also how do i get the autogen draw distance to really really far away?

Thanks in advance. ;D

It's all opinion. I think for freeware, it's the KBOS scenery by David Grimshaw.

How so?

The key feature about autogen, is that it does the exact opposite. It draws when closer to the airplane to lower frame rates.

You have to fiddle with the .cfg. I'm steering clear of this one. :P

;) Cus Im biased, but I sees EGGP John Lennon (Liverpool) as one of the best freeware.
Payware World Airports.
Charlotte NC KCLT fair to realisim. Nice Terminals freeware (or was?) Toni Agramont has a very good eye, I likes LXGB Gibralter, Canaries also.

Ah if only ISD made airports in places other than Italy.  ::)

I like all the airports done by FRF-studios.  They're free and they're not hard on framerates.

Lately i've been using BWI scenery by Matthew Perry and Joshua Broadwater.  Very nice but rather complex (a lotta trees).

a1,

George Grimshaw's (FLyTampa) freeware KBOS version 2 is the best freeware airport that I have seen.

For one of the best payware ones....... get FlyTamps's St. Maarten which has just been released.  Stunning.

To increase realism to the maximum......... visit the "Homebuild Cockpits Forum".  And open your wallet.   ;)

best,
