POSKY 767-400 pitch problem.

I recently downloaded the POSKY Continental 767-400 V4. It seems to fly ok. Except when turning.

When I bank the plane (with or without flaps, at any airspeed) the nose pitches up rapidly (I lose sight of the horizon), :o my airspeed drops and I stall! >:(

I also noticed this happening with other POSKY aircraft (747-400, 757-200).

Is there a parameter in the CFG I can adjust to prevent the nose from pitching up when the aircraft is banked?

Do you use the auto rudder option? I seem to rember something about this happening if auto rudder is selected.
As for any one entry in the airplane cfg file, it would probably mean adjusting more than one entry.
 The only time the nose would go up in a turn would be if you slipped which means using oppsite rudder something you can not do with auto rudder turned on.
A slip is usually made by turning the wheel one way and usng oppsite rudder then the nose might rise some what but not to the stalling point.
As for your problem did you check out the posky site for posted problems. 8-)

I went to the POSKY forums and there was nothing there that could help me.

I DO have auto-rudder on. Perhaps I will turn it off and see what happens?

The Posky 747 and 767 seem to suffer from excessive nose-up, during cruise as well as turning. I know that the 767 in the real world has something of a nose-up pitch until it's burnt off some fuel, but as supplied, the nose is too high on both.

Go into the aircraft.cfg and find the [flight tuning] section. The cruise_lift_scalar parameter controls cruise pitch - increase the value from 1.0 to bring the nose down - as an example, my 747 value is set at 2.1 to get a realistic pitch at cruise. This may wekk help your turning problem.

Ok. I tried adjusting the cruise_lift_scalar parameter. It had no affect on the pitch when banking. :(

I also turned off auto-rudder option. No affect either. :(

Any other parameters I should look into?

One other option is to compare with the default B747 Look closely at the flight tuning section. Another area would be the weight and balance section.[glow=yellow,2,300]BUT BE VERY CARE FULL WHAT YOU CHANGE HERE AS a little change can have a huge effect. [/glow]

I think I fixed the problem!!

I adjusted the value in the:

[airplane_geometry]
[glow=yellow,2,300]wing_incidence= 2.000 //-1.000[/glow]

By adjusting this value, it seems to have fixed the pitch up of the nose when the aircraft is banked. I still have to tweak it some more, and then see how it affects cruising at altitude.

Perhaps this is the fix I have been looking for! :) :D

It would seem that it has no affect on the pitch attitude of the aircraft at altitude.  Maybe 1 degree. The nose did not even start to drop until it was at  10% fuel. Rock steady in cruise.

I'm starting to like this plane. :)

That is so for a lot of planes. One of these days I have and put myself to resolve the weight problem of the TU-114, (and then make readable its panel [I can read some japanese too, but russian...]).

Should really be an amazing bird, after being optimized. ::)
