Why did you buy the german edition at all if you're unable to understand the language? :-?

Sadly I'm bringer of bad news. There's no way to change language "from inside". :-/

As Ashaman said, I don't believe there's a way to change the language of the game internally. You might be lucky to find some unofficial patches, but I'd have no idea where to look for them. Unless Microsoft has a fix, your best bet would be to get a different version of the game, in a language you know well  ;)

Fortunately for you, FS2004 is quite cheap nowadays. Maybe $20-30 USD. Especially since FSX just came out a few months ago. Run over to your local Gamestop/EB Games/Mall and grab a copy, or find one on Ebay/Amazon  ;)

Well, if you go for "the cross", prepare to buy a newer PC too, and it's not even sure it will suffice, seen the performances problems "the cross" has. :P

Perhaps, since you own a legitimate copy of FS9, you should be entitled to legally use a different language copy without purchasing it again (i.e. find someone who will lend you the CD's).

FS is quite self explaining, but if you PM me a list of your language problems, i.e things you do not understand in the menus etc then I can help.
