Check inside the Aircraft.cfg that the following lines are present and active:

ui_manufacturer=Boeing
ui_type=767-300ER

If these lines aren't there, then add them yourself minding that if the 767 you're using is not a 300ER, you better put there the correct model.

If the lines are there, but before them somehow there is a couple of slash symbols, like this: "//" (with no quotes, of course), then delete the slashes away. The slashes are used before comments and remarks that must not be interpreted by the simulator and can be used to invalidate unwanted command lines.

Just a 'minor' correction.

ui_manufacturer=Boeing
ui_type=767-300ER
These lines are used in the 'select aircraft' window, drop down lists, not by ATC.

******************

ATC needs the following lines:

[General]
atc_type=BOEING
atc_model=B734

The 'values' must be correct, i.e., they must be from the list of ATC recognized 'values'. If 'atc_type=' is empty or incorrect, you get 'experimental'.

John Woodside has a nice page here, providing the list(s) of ATC recognized values, and their

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Will keep in mind not to answer in the future before at least three cups of coffee have been metabolized. :-/
