Mesh, AFCAD's, etc

Postby wyodeacon » Fri Mar 09, 2007 11:07 am

I'm still learning and as I get more involved in downloading aircraft and scenery I keep running into the terms AFCAD and Mesh (as well as regular scenery).  Can someone tell me what each of these terms means and how they are used?  I guess what I'm asking is this:  Does it do me any good to install these or should I just stick to scenery files?
Thanks

An AFCAD is the file that places the runways, taxiways, and parking areas on the ground in the simulator. Mesh files add mountains, hills etc. Basically mesh keeps the ground from looking like a pancake.
