Gauges problem.

Postby gypsymoth » Tue Feb 27, 2007 6:54 am

I'm having a lot of fun adding some of Glenn Copeland's gauges to various panel.  To date they all work except for four of the five I added to my Captaim Sim F-104.    The parking brake switch works fine, but the others do not.  For example, the 3rd hand (automatic gear up) gauge is not lit up & appears not to be drawing power in order to function.   Everything else works as it should.    I wonder if anyone else has had this problem & if there is a fix?  I got the gauges from Avsim, by the way.

Maybe it depends on the aircraft. I just tried it on the default Mooney Bravo. Works fine as advertised.

PS. You have to click on the centre of the gauge to switch it on.

Hi there Hagar - didn't recognise you with the new spec-savers!!

It's the F-104 panel I'm sure.   The parking brake light is lit so I know it's getting power.  This is something I've picked up from all the other gauges I've installed (I've been having a lot of fun!!) that when they show signs of getting power (Glenn's blurb says the juice has to be turned on) they'll work.   The other 4 gauges I put in this panel do not show signs of being powered so clicking away just will not work.   I am frustrated because this is the first panel I'm having problems with.   I must have embellished 20 panels by now, too, so to have the F-104 present with non-working gauges is a let-down & like you once said, I just want to know why!!!

I think it's something about the F-104 panel that's mucking it up for me.   I've added gauges to most payware stuff (Addictive, Alphasim,Lago,FSDS,Real Air, etc,) with no problems.   Not to worry but I would like to sort it!
Cheers!

Oh it's in about 20 other panels already & working well in all of them.   8-)     I'm afraid it must be the 104 panel   >:(
