Aircraft won't affect the frame rate unless they're selected or used as AI traffic. You can easily check this out by using a default aircraft. If the problem persists something else is causing it.

I tried a default plane and the problem persists, some planes needed to copy some files to the effects, modules and gauges folders....and i did...normally my fps were around 30-40, now they are in 20-30 some times 15....

To be honest it could literally be anything. Have you installed any other FS addons or made any recent changes to your PC?

I have experienced the same problem. Mine was with a add on for scenery. If I remember correctly it was an update for Madagascar. When I first started up my FS9 using one of the airfields I saw that it took a bit longer than usual to load. Then the shock came. I had three helicopters in the air on individual pads standing still with rotors stationary just off the runway. Ignoring this I took off with my Corsair (Mike Stones) then I discovered that the fps was way down at around 8 was the best that I got. I decided to de-install the addon. Voila, my rate shot back up to 25 fps. Which I think is very impressive for my machine.

Thereaare a copuple of aircraft "installer" packages" I believe that also include some airport scenery upgrades as part of "the deal".  Maybe you installed one of these?

Bingo!  I encountered the exact same thing when I installed an effect package for CFS2.  My frame rate went into the crapper!  If you can't identify which effects you installed, you're gonna have to re-install FS9.  I learned my lesson, though.  Before I install add-on anything!  I back stuff up first!

Hi

If you think it might be a effects add-on, you can find what you recently installed into that folder.
Open the Effects folder and set the View to Details. Then make sure that Date Created is in the list. If it isn't, right click on the list and simply check the option to show date created. Then look at the dates and you should be able to find any effects that were added to the folder on the date you installed the planes.

Hope this helps :)
