At 140 you're way faster to land in a correctly configured 737. :-?
175 knots is too fast even for a MD11 (one of the faster landing civilian planes around beside the Concorde). :-/
If you find yourself in the need to use such speeds in a 737 is surely because you weigh too much. It's a waste to take off at full tanks if you're only going to make a jaunt of few hundreds miles. A waste and a stress on the plane, that has to land under stressful weight conditions.
