Newbie Question about T-45C Goshawk...

Postby mrw3685 » Thu Feb 15, 2007 8:59 pm

First, love the site, have used it's freeware for years.  Second, I recently downloaded the T-45C Goshawk and while I have the plane and sound and everything else, there are several gauge groups in the "gauge" folder that require additional unzipping, and then I can only open them in Winzip Classic mode.  I've never used anything like this before, and can't figure out where to put the .xml files for one to make the cockpit complete.....as of right now it has nearly nothing.  I need some help because I've noticed on other planes, I've had the same problem, and have just ignored it and never used the internal cockpit view.  HELP!!

Finally, I'm an instructor in the T-45C here at NAS Meridian, and what a cool model!  From what I've seen the cockpit is "supposed" to look like, it's very realistic.  And finally, WOW, the sound the jet makes on FS2004 is nearly the exact same as the real thing makes, it has a very unique sound.  So whoever made the RR sound for the model, well done!

If it is a *.cab file leave  as is and place in the 'Gauges' folder.

If it is a *.zip that unzips to a folder containing the *.xml (and *.bmp) files, place the folder (with it's contents) in the 'Gauges' folder.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
