121.5 and 7700 have no effect in FS9 other than ATC telling you to reset your transponder code!!!!!!!!!
There isn't really any point in practising the full emergency procedure in FS9. For one, nobody is listening to you. And, it's a sim so there's no "emergency!!!!"
Having ditched for real in the English Chanel due to a broken prop I can tell you that the real emergency procedure concentrates the mind  rather well!!!!

That must have been delightful...  ::) Don't think you've ever told us that story here.
I assume you had time to call it in?

I do wish that a future FS provides a more realistic ATC. Not just energencies but also speed advisories AND pressure in millibars. The US is the ONLY country that doesn't use millibars!!!!

It is silly that we still cling to those measurements, but oh well- MSFS was made in the USA, so there you have it.  ;D

The only thing thou shalt receive is a more graphical intensive beautiful looking version of FS98, instead (as already done up till now). Make due, shut up and PAY. :P ;D

As for the millibars... when there will be a sim that will not look as the USA as the center of the universe... and only maybe. ::)
The USA is the center of the universe. Moneywise anyway.

THAT'S the reason we're having all the problems we're having. :-X :-/

At least in flight simulation, I'd like for a REAL equality between nations. ::)

Well should flight sim be centered in the atlantic ocean or the pacific ocean? If you centered it in the atlantic, Asia  would get jealous and if we had it centered in the pacific, then europe would get jealous. There is no use centering them on the poles etheir because nobody lives or flys there so it is best to have it centered on the USA because it is recongized as the center of life on earth. Now if Europe made flight sim then maybe it should be centered on Europe.  ::)

I know this is not a reason to get worked on over but can you tell me which part of "equality between nations" did you not understand?

MUST a thing like a flight simulator be centered on a nation and its customs, habits and quirks (not to add that said nation's default scenery is rendered better than the rest of the word)?

Such provincialism In the country that exported the globalization... tsk-tsk...

By the way, mine is a rhetorical question, you don't have to answer. Mine was an utopia that completed (closed the circle in a way to) Volo's utopic hope.

Case closed.

Routine codes
1200: Visual flight rules (VFR) flight, this is the standard squawk code used in North American airspace when no other has been assigned.
7000: VFR standard squawk code for most European airspace when no other code has been assigned.
7004: Aerobatic and display code.
0021: VFR squawk code for German airspace (5000 feet and below)
0022: VFR squawk code for German airspace (above 5000 feet)
0001: Military code for highspeed uncontrolled (non-ATC directed) flight (US)
7001: Sudden military climbout from low-level operations (UK)
2000: The code to be squawked when entering a secondary surveillance radar (SSR) area from a non-SSR area (used as a VFR squawk code in some European countries)
0000: military escort (in the US), suspected transponder failure (in the UK).
7777: military interception (US/FAA)
"Under no circumstances should a pilot of a civil aircraft operate the transponder on Code 7777. This code is reserved for military interceptor operations."

Emergency codes
7700: Emergency
7600: Lost Communications
7500: Hijack (Unlawful Interference)
In addition to the above universal codes, some countries assign certain blocks linked to certain destinations (flights to some destination always get a transponder code starting with certain numbers). Otherwise the squawk codes are randomly allocated (hence not assigned in sequence).

Well, that will only work if you have a friend whose name is "mayday". ;)

Get your phone, and call him.  :P

All of a sudden, the temperature in the room dropped sensibly, condensation beginning to gather on the surfaces. Temperature kept dropping in a freefall until said condensation become frost...

[smiley=happy.gif]

...and still the temperature dropped, until it was impossible for a human to survive for long. All around the room occupants began dropping for hypothermia until no one was alive anymore.

They should make an addon for millitary interception and like if you fly into airspace your not supposed too then NORAD scrambles some fighters to shoot ur A** out of the sky.
