Scenery Glitches

Postby alb469 » Wed Jan 10, 2007 1:02 pm

I keep having white blocks that seem to be buildings rapidly appearing and disappearing at random where there should be none. It started when I installed VOZ 1.1 and 1.2. Since then VOZ has been removed as per VOZ instructions as I could not get the VOZ switcher to work properly. Have done a thorough search of my computer and can find no reference to Voz at all, so I guess Voz has corrupted a file but what one? Can anyone help?

Sorry I am not sure which file it is. I for one completly removed the entire package from my system as it was full of the problems you are having and I did not feel like going through the trouble of trouble shooting each file. I seem to rember that there might be a patch for it but I can not rember for sure where I read that at. 8-)

Perhaps you would be better asking this on the Voz forum instead. they give prettty good service for problems there. You'll need to register first, but it's free to join.

It would be nice if they could. I have registered there but for almost a month now no one has come up with any answers. I thought this forum might be able to help. I am sure that a few people here have been able to get voz to work.

I would not hold your breath. from some earlier posts I read the software was a total flop and was more trouble than what it was worth. But of course that is just my opinion 8-)

Think I have fixed the prob. I had a backup main texture folder from an earlier addon scenery where you were advised to make a backup in case tou did not like thr new textures. I replaced the entire folder so what was causing the appearing and disappearing buildings I dont know. A quick test flight has shown ok. :o

I've just installed VOZ to check it out. The install was completely painless but you MUST read the instructions carefully before attempting it & follow them to the letter. This is a very impressive piece of work by any standards. IMHO
