How well will FS9 run on my laptop?

Postby coolpick » Thu Jan 11, 2007 1:38 am

I know I'm stupid for asking this but, I sitting right here looking at the FS9 box and my laptop, I could load it right now, but I'm waiting to put my ram upgrade in and get my external HD. Anyway how well is it going to run on my laptop? its it going to be enough to enjoy VC flight? I downloaded the FSX demo, it ran ok on low settings.

1.66 intel duo core 2
1.5GB ram(after upgrade)
7200rpm HD
ATI X1400 256mb video card

thanks

I don't see problems with your laptop running FS9 just fine. I wish I had a laptop like that. ;)

It will run well with sliders all the way to the right.  I don't know how much ram you have right now before you upgrade, but im sure either way you will get the most of the sim.
Cheers,

Well, the basics are pretty much the same as my new laptop, except I'm using an Nvidia card, and just 1GB RAM. FPS locked at 25, although drops to 14-16 in heavy environents.
