How big is your hard-drive? My FS folder is  nearly 85GB, I see no point in cleaning it, when I have FS running just how I want it... The only time I add anything new now is if there are any big releases, or something that will make a big impact to my simming experience, I have everything I want.

Why clean it?

85 gb? I bet you pride yourself in having so many x amount of addons, but what's the average flight time you have logged in each aircraft, or around a certain area?

I never saw the point to having so many addons, especially keeping addons if you don't use them regularly... ::)

Well, mines is 23 Gb large. I agree with the original poster, I too will be spring cleaning. I feel that I have maybe 35 % of planes that are either poor quality (in my opinion ), or I just simply never fly them. To me , my aircraft folder is bloated. Do I need so many 737's , so many Airbuses , so many light aircraft that I never touch ?
Unfortunately , for me, I have a habit of watching, say, a Hawker Hurricane on the TV, and within 10 minutes of the program finishing, I'm on the internet looking to download a Hawker Hurricane.  :-[ ...ie, I'm like a greedy kid in toys'r'us . It wouldn't be so bad if they were all really good, but without mentioning particular models or designers names, some people make better planes than others.  What I want is ,say, 100 top class aircraft, rather than 250 average aircraft.
So with all this in mind, I'll sit down with a piece of paper and note down all the aircraft that don't make the grade.

I don't have a superdooper computer, ( only a 3500+ AMD64 and 7600 GT), so it takes way too long to change planes for me. My Fs9 is going on a diet.  ;)

A micro-light weight, teehee!

When I say load time, I mean to get from desktop to the program, as in after you double click the icon.

Mine takes a few minutes even with only 20-30 gigs, but my load time after I hit the 'Fly Now' button is less than a minute.

Oh I thought from Desktop to Main Window also. From 'Fly Now' anywhere between 10-30 secs, depending on aircraft/scenery  ;)
