aircraft.cfg question

Postby Variable » Fri Dec 29, 2006 10:05 am

atc_parking_types=GATE, RAMP, CARGO
atc_parking_code=AAL

I notice that the above lines in the aircraft.cfg are filled out for some aircraft (EX: Posky aircraft that I've downloaded) but not in others such as Captain Sim's B757.

What effect does it have putting in prkg types and code??
Should I add 'gate, ramp, cargo' to my CS 757's??

I might add another .cfg line "atc_heavy=0 (or 1)"...what does that determine??

The parking types line tells the ATC what kind of parking spot they should tell the aircraft to taxi to. For example if you only had cargo in the parking types line than ATC would always tell you to taxi to the Cargo ramp for parking if there is one available.

The parking code tells ATC what airline you are and allows them to park them in thier assigned spots. Airports only have assigned spots if you have either made an AFCAD for the airport or downloaded one.
