Joystick assignments?

My joystick assignments went bonkers!

Always worked the way you say it works on you now, to me. On both my joysticks the hatswitch is recognized as such and only works correctly for looking around. :P

I wish TO HELL it was possible to use it for something different, like in X-plane. No dice. >:(

The hat-switch assignment seems to be dedicated to looking/panning around in 8 different directions, and nothing else...;)...!

My X-52 can assign them to different functions, so it should be possible!

Probably is a matter of driver then. :-?

Fact is that the drivers I use don't allow it and I stress, under FS only, and I can see I'm far from being alone. :(
