Best bet would be to contact whoever wrote or sold you the Airbus program, if you haven't already.
But double-check the "Read Me" file... might be some info in there.

Reading through that, It seems as though you have purchased an aeroplane ADD-ON for the FS 2004 Flight Simulator....
But you haven't yet purchased, and installed the FS 2004 Simulator program.... :o...!

The A380 add-on wont work without the FS 2004 simulator in place...!!

It sounds as though you have spotted the Boxed Version of the A 380 in the Shop, and assumed that it will install and run straight out of the box as a self-contained program....!

FS 2002/2004 First.
Add-Ons next.

Looking at my box for the abacus A380, I see the very top line of text to read: "Exciting Add-on For Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and 2002." No way anyone could have missed that if they wanted to be sure a software will work on their machine...

You must inspect before you can expect...
emachines T6212; AMD Athlon64 3800+ (2.40 GHz; Venice core); Allied AL-B500E 500W power supply; 2048Mb PC3200 DDR400; Westinghouse LCM-22w2 wide-screen LCD monitor; eVGA e-GeForce 7900 GS KO X16 PCIe video card; Logitech Extreme 3D Pro flight controller;<

Talk about buying a saddle and then expecting to find a horse under it. ;D

Please don't take my words as an offense, it isn't. Actually you just made my... night (merry X-mas to all those who celebrate this holiday), but really you should be more careful about what you buy. :)

Solution: (because I like to make constructive criticism) either buy and install FS9 (it's cheap lately, what with FSX having made its appearance) and then your A380, or try and convince the salesman to change the box you bought with another software/hardware/whateveryoumightlike. :D

I often wonder how many Mum's, Dad's, Grand-Ma's, Grand-Dad's, etc,  buy little Johnny a game in the Game Shop not realising that it's only an "add-on" to a necessery full game program...

...very easilly done for the unknowledgeable in such things...

I purchased a bell once....
..not realising that I needed to obtain the bicycle first...
...arse...!

LOL... ;D...!

Minimum REAL hardware to run DECENTLY FS9 (which is fortunately a software) is a Pentium 4 2400 (or equivalent) with 1 Gb ram and a 128Mb ram videocard of of the Nvidia Fx series (or ATI equivalent). :)

If your PC is such or better, go BUY a FS9 package (not download, bad, bad, bad... BUY  ;) ) and install it, ensure it is the V 9.1 and if it isn't patch it with the M$ patch (easily found with google) and then install your A380 in it.

If your PC is lesser than indicated and you don't want to upgrade just yet, then try and find a FS2002 package (that while not as good as FS9, it's still a very good simulator) and install in it your A380. Seen that it can work in both 2002 and 2004, you have the choice.

In both cases the simulators you must buy, not download, but don't worry, as said before FS9 is found cheap now that FSX is out, and FS2002 is even cheaper (but you could have problems find FS2002 in the shops). 8-)

THAT's mean I can't play it on keyboard?

my PC  is better.

Of course you can play with the keyboard... even if (I warn you on the basis of having ceased simulating so with FS98) you'll find your piloting to be incredibly approximative and not really immersive.

If you have at least a simple cheap joystick, use it, it will give you a WAY better interface with the simulated environment.
