Selected Aircraft

Postby alzo » Sat Dec 16, 2006 1:00 pm

When I process addons in FS2004 and get them to the aircraft file they do not appear under Selected Aircraft.

"they do not appear under Selected Aircraft."
The number-one cause of this is failing to sequence the new addition [fltsim.#] and the number-two reason is using duplicate title= names
P.S. Unless you are referring to AI aircraft

Please, no laughing.  Not refering to AI aircraft.  I assume that you mean alphabetical order.  In any case, I dragged the unzipped folder to the proper place of airplanes and it vanished.  Checked at Search an it said it was in the unzipped folder and that folder was empty.  I checked the fiolders of adjacent planes and it was not there either.

What does "sequence the new addition[fltsim#]" refer to?

What does "sequence the new addition[fltsim#]" refer to?

This only applies if you're adding repainted textures to existing aircraft. I assume you're not doing that.

No offence but I suspect you're not too familiar with Windows. You might like to read my 'Windows Basics' & 'Working with Windows' articles before going any further. Click the link to Grumpy's Lair in my sig.

Hi Al....could you please say exactly which aircraft download is giving you the the
problem..is it just this one?........a simple typing error in the aircraft.cfg might even be the cause .......without the Zip name and where you got it, we can only guess what the problem is.....commoner ;)

Installed two aircraft this morning from Simvation using the same steps that I have employed for years.
