It has always puzzled my why anyone who has purchased a General Aviation flight simulator would want to travel at 99,999+ feet AWL (Above World Level)... :o...!

The majority of my flights are at 2,000-5,000 Feet AGL admiring the amazing scenery below me...  ;)...!

I would have thought a Video of Star Trek is more suitable for "Really High Flyers"...;D...!

Im just burning time, waiting for my new PC parts to arrive here at home so I can play FSX.  I have some aircraft that can go pretty high in fs9.  Getting above 100K feet is just another challenge I'm up to.  (Its not like turning FS into CFS).  I suppose fs9's incapability to go above a certain hight is what makes FSX look great though.

If I break this thing and get up that high, than...   wow :P
(I don't think I will)

In FS98 with certain aircraft you could actually go over 100'000. However, a new layer of clouds appeared. It was really odd.

I am deeply sorry- for all who are tired of me ragging one and on about altitude, but I have on last question.

How high have people gotten in FSX? (im over 5.1 million feet!)

Is that really important? I mean, not to put you down, but 5.1 million feet are more or less 1700 Km., Who would be able to fly a plane there, and why?

And even supposing a Shuttle simulation, let us all not forget that FSX has still that pesky speed limitation at Mach 5. A speed that the real Shuttle in the high reaches of atmosphere can tranquilly overcome by a power of two and even go faster.

In FS having a roof at 100000 is annoying all right, but not a disastrous limitation IMO.

There's but one real cure for human stupidity. It's called DEATH.

At the moment mourning the assassination of sarcasm and irony for the good of the "higher".

I know this is way over the top and not realy important.  I'm just.....  bored?? dunno...

Its fine to call this a waste of time.  I just wanted to know a random statistic....

P.S. i'm at 7.4 million feet.. ;D
