Using the radios

Postby wyodeacon » Sat Nov 18, 2006 7:49 pm

I am still pretty new with the flight sim and am having a problem with some of the nav radios.  When I fly the 172 I am able to turn the radios on and off and also tune them by pointing at the knob with my curser and clicking either up or down.
With the King Air (just as an example) nothing happens when I select the radios screen and try to do the same thing.
What am I missing?
Thanks

Click on the actual numbers in the King Air, rather than the knob, wyodeacon. Probably quicker to do that in the Cessna, too.

Another thing that can cause a radio not to work is the absence of the following lines in the aircaft cfg file

[Radios]
// Radio Type = availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1       = 1
Com.1         = 1, 1
Com.2         = 1, 1
Nav.1         = 1, 1, 1
Nav.2         = 1, 1, 0
Adf.1         = 1
Transponder.1 = 1
Marker.1      = 1

If you are reffering to the default King Air this is not the problem just click on the actual numbers instead 8)

Ah!  I never even thought about clicking directly on the numbers.
If that doesn't work I'll definately check the command line.
Thanks for the help.  I'll let you know.
