Actually no, Try increasing the Global Texture Size to Massive...That got rid of all blurries for me... ;)

Hi
I had the  Global Texture Size to Massive so it can't be that, but thanks for the suggestion. I have uninstalled and re-installed FS9, done a complete virus scan but I am getting a slightly double image on exterior objects when performing a left/right turn and when paning around in the virtual cockpit

Cheers

Set MIP maps and texture preferance to both quality. That fixed it for me, atleast in fsX...

I thgought VCs were blurry because they have to represent millions of images from a million different eyepoints. It's why so many models don't have VCs. At least this is what I read somewhere about them...
emachines T6212; AMD Athlon64 3800+ (2.40 GHz; Venice core); Allied AL-B500E 500W power supply; 2048Mb PC3200 DDR400; Westinghouse LCM-22w2 wide-screen LCD monitor; eVGA e-GeForce 7900 GS KO X16 PCIe video card; Logitech Extreme 3D Pro flight controller;<

Edit the Panel.cfg of your aircraft, and increase the value of each Pixel_size parameter in each [VCockpit_xx] section you can find.

For example, if you have something like "pixel_size=128,128", it will be blurry (but easy on frames). You can try to increase this parameter to 256,256 or 512,512 and even 1024,1024 if you want. Your VC gauges will get very neat and beautifull, but on some complex VC, your FPS may decrease.

ash,

It's what I read somewhere and why most add-on planes don't have VCs. The eye can be in any of hundreds or thousands of locations within the cockpit and the VC has to be able to represent them all. I could be wrong (and probably am) but if a VC is such an easy thing, why do so few add-on airplanes have them? My mind's ear awaits the dulcet tones of your experienced response...

Err I don't know what you read, but obviously you didn't understand it right  ;D
Concerning the VC, very few planes have it because most modelers don't want to model it. Additionnaly, finding the 3-view plans of a plane is much more easy than finding accurate photos and plans of its interior.
