The big, toothed, thumb-wheel on a CH Yoke shouldn't be used at all, once set. It isn't program-able in XP or the sim. If you can get full deflection whilst calibrating (via XP or the sim (same thing, I think)), just leave it be. If, for some reason you cannot get full elevator deflection (either way) whilst calibrating.. THEN use the thumb-wheel to get in range, and re-calibrate.

It's just a rough, mechanical, reference point adjustment; not meant to resemble any type of elevator trim..

I realize this, thats why the trim tab moves in the opposite direction that the aileron, elevator or rudder  is going to move due to the deflection of the tab.

I was just simply asking if anyone used the wheel on the yoke, due to it  moves the elevator directly, and you have really no referance to what neutral is,  unlike the trim tab, where you have a indicator that shows you where the tab is

First of all, in flight the trim tab causes deflection of the whole elevator- that's how trim works. Maybe it's animated "wrong" so that you see this even while sitting still, but no matter...

As for trim wheel postion, I confirm mine in the 2D panel view.

Your answer has been siad above, leave the coarse wheel alone unless your calibration is seriously out. Then, twiddle it slightly, recalibrate and leave it alone.
