HJG cfg edits

Postby jimm57 » Tue Nov 14, 2006 8:02 pm

Can someone please set me straight on getting the editing of the HJG cfg file straight? I've downloaded a base pack Boeing 707-120B from them and it doesnt show up. So on their web site, under the FAQ's, it says to edit the cfg file. I've done what they say twice, but still dont see the plane. VERY frustrating, as I know their craft are great!

I've put in:
[fltsim.0]
title=Boeing 707-120B
sim=Boeing 707-120B

but nothing happens!

Thanks

Hm, is this your first plane addition?

Just copy the plane folder into Airplanes, effects into effects, etc.

Its the first one I've had to edit a cfg file from HJG. I've added literally hundreds of planes to my aircraft folder from SimV. Its the base pack. I also have a Delta repaint, but havent even tried it yet. Wanna make this one fly first!

Thanks for the help. will give it a go....

OK, got it. I had to edit the texture lines into the cfg of the plane and copy the texture files into the aircraft folder. Great stuff, but a PITA!

Thanks again for the help. now I can enjoy a nice pint as I set out to!
