Movable jet bridges for FS9???

Postby ludwig » Thu Nov 09, 2006 2:47 pm

Probably a dumb question, but do the jet bridges at any of the big airports actually extend to a parked aircraft?  Didn't figure it could hurt to ask--the worst that could happen is someone would say "NO" and since I'm married, I hear the word "NO" a LOT!!!  Guess that's what happens when you give your wenches the MRS degree.  Sigh.......

Sorry to have to say it, but nope.

None of the stock airports have the function you ask about.

I think some payware airports have that ability.

always thought that it would be cool if some one desinged animated jetways/ jet bridges that you replaced the default ones with. i know, you probaly have to design whole new models for them and all. always wanted this to be done, but as i'm a very crappy modeler with fsds/ gmax i can't do it.

I qualified "stock airports" (as in "default airports") in my writ. ;)

Add-ons are another story. :)

Camil Valiquette's 787 package has an animated ground
service & single or double gate for the jetways at some airports.

All ISD Project airports have dynamic Jetways, although and LIRF and LIMC they are the best. :)

Thanks much, Mees.  I wish I knew how to IM with someone who is logged on.  Anyway, I'm not familiar with those initials you gave me.  Still a little new to this stuff.  I'll thank you up front for your kind consideration.

ISD Project is a team of great guys that have designed some of the most beautiful among all the airports around. Italians airports, I must remark.

Yep, they are italian. Thinking about the great guys from ISD fills my heart with pride.

You can find their works here: http://www.isdproject.com/

They are ALL, indiscriminately great works. :)

My, so funny Mr Wji.

Should I remember you that this is not my first language?

I'd like SO much to see you trying to make your way out of a sack speaking in italian.

An error can happen, and it does, to everyone. ;)

Torino Caselle (which is not ISD) has moving jetways, opening and closing hangar doors. Venezia (which is ISD) also has stop lights at the gates which go red when you get too close!!

BTW about 40% of my AI has luggage conveyors, catering trucks and pushback tugs.
