Aircraft Not Visible In Selection Menu

Postby MOUSY » Sat Nov 11, 2006 8:49 am

Just installed the SGA A300-B4 as a replacement to the other A300-B4 Air France which was to heavy on my system.
However the problem is that it doesnt show up in the selection menu. I know that when installing PAI aircraft, the installer gives an option to make PAI aircraft invisible. I thought it was through a modification of the aircraft.cfg.
I tried going through the cfg of SGA's A300 but to know avail.
Can anybody help me? Possibly tell me what I can change to get it visible?

P.S.: The SGA A300 is visible under the selection menu for FS Repaint Demo. The Air France repaint that I added to it manually is also present.

FS2004 Air France & Air Inter Airbus A300 B4-2C Aircraft &  Panel: This one shows up (Last on page).

FS2004 Stewart-Global Aircraft Airbus A300B4-200: This replacement doesn't. (One before last on page)

Your post was difficult to read with the blue text on a blue background but by highlighting the text it became white on blue and was quite easily read.

Now, what was your question? I forgot already.  ::)

AI are made visible in the .air file and can be edited using AirEdit. Another viewing AI workaround is to assign the crate in an AI flightplan (TTools) and go and look at using MS's Traffic_Toolbox. Cool.

I'm not familiar with the plane specified in your post but reply in general term only

Sorry, I may have confused you. I only referred to PAI models as an example that an be made invisible in the selection menu through the PAI installer.
I was referring to a downloaded fly-able aircraft, not AI.
The 2nd add-on that I got (see above) does not show up for selection in FS but it does in FS Repaint along with all its other variations.
I was asking if there is anyway to change its configuration so that it now shows up, and hence I could use and fly it.
Hope that clears it up.

I just installed it and it shows up, even without the update installed.
Aircraft Manufacturer: Airbus
Aircraft Model: A300B4-200

It does?!?!

I tried and retried. I'll try again.

EDIT: Deleted everything and started fresh. Now works fine with a beautiful new Air France repaint. Thanks for the speedy feedback.
