Been there once, it's long alright, but has road illumination poles all along and inside the runway. Impossible to use even with a C140 in spite of its length.

Of course in my FS9 I ran to shift the runway on the side with AFCAD (the simplest solution) so not to have problems with road illumination poles. Still the runway is called "Shahrohki highway strip", I can't but ask myself for what it's used that runway, planes or cars.

Both?

UWLW instead is simply... gigantic. It makes my B52 look minuscule, a 737 at LIRF, when taxing on that runway.

edit

Z14P is not the only runway with road illumination poles problem. I'm coming straight from Z14N, always in Iran. It has the some problem.

Oh, well, time for a session on AFCAD. ::)

What do I do you ask? I struggle! Then destroy! Then try to put back together what I just broke on accident.....

I saw some really big, gray bird take-off from the airbase in Vegas (Nellis?) the other day. It looked like a C-5 but not as long...

Probably a C-17 Globemaster?

I don't know what they run out of there. I see them take-off with all kinds of aircraft. I've seen umpteen F-15s in four- and five-bird flights, F-16s a plenty, A-10s enough to make your eyes water and even a brace of F-22s the other day. Very impressive, even if running these beauties costs me thousands of dollars an hour for each one. I'll pay it and be glad there are guys who will take the power they wield to the enemy anytime, anywhere.

i am bringing this topic back from the dead!

my favorite "area 51" package is the secret air base package. fly out of there a lot. it id is "KCIA" (ha ha!). it does require tweaking though in some of my installations of fs2004.

so if the taxiways don't show up and your sitting in grass (or sinking in mud- depending on weather!), deleat the files in the US Area 51/Scenery called "Area 51 Flat_(something else at the end of the file name)", and add aprons in afcad aroungd the parking areas. don't know why sometime this scenery get screwed up... hmmm.

this scenery has tons of stuff in it, even ai ufos!
