Purchasing FSX

Postby supernova45849850l » Fri Oct 13, 2006 5:12 am

Ok just wondering who will be there on the due date I am rather happy with 2004 have no plans, from what this forum suggests, performance is an issue and my Nvidia GeForce FX5200 128MB doesnt stand a chance! I had autogen very dense on 2004 last night over very scenery demanding (NYC) landscape and URGH! what chance does FSX have?  could think about upgrading but I am happy with 2004 as it is...

Sorry ppl, FS9 with the right add-ons is practically the twin of FSX, and its WAY easier on the frame rate.

To those who of FSX still have the demo in mind (that only displays a little island in the middle of the sea), try and make the REAL final version go decently with a rig like mine without weeping in rage, and only then come here and say I'm wrong.

FS9 for a year at least (and maybe even more) still for me.

I simply said that I had the honor to try the new sim and decided to remain with FS9.

Its workings on my rig aren't really encouraging me to use it. :(

What did I say wrong? ???

PS
I'm talking about the complete version, of course.

Other, which equals "must wait for years until I can justify in the budget to spare the cash to buy a massive new gaming rig that costs 40X the price of the software it would be intended to run". I didn't see that choice in the poll.  ;D

I have decided I might as well buy it soon, even though it is unlikely to work spectacularly on my laptop, actually, pretty much guaranteed to be very rough, I am graduating high school in six months and will either get a new computer as a gift, or get enough money to buy a new one, until then I can mess around with settings and such, maybe invest in a new video card, either way, I am looking forward to getting it.

I voted for # 4 because i am happy with 2004, but i probably will get FSX eventually. I might want to upgrade a bit first and i've spent so much time adding on to FS9, i'm just not in any hurry to move on.

I voted other. I will buy FSX but not for at least another year or so. I have FS9 completely maxed out and it's running very smoothly. I wonder if FSX will do the same for me. So I'll wait until all the tweaks and settings have been found, new hardware is available and FSX drops in price.

Crash ;)
