Radar

Postby arnaudford » Thu Oct 05, 2006 8:05 am

At home I have a local network (3 computers, no internet connection).
I would like to find a radar which allows to find the other players (of the network), to practice military interception.  ???
Thank you for answering.

One of the uses for my excellent FS Navigator in Multiplayer, is to give me real-time RADAR to observe other fliers, but I think you may have difficulties in running a number of similar software programs on multiple computers...
...copyright restrictions...?

(...that problem has been mentioned before here)... :'(...!

Yes...

FS Navigator.

Pressing F9 toggles a seperate window showing your flight plan, airfields, etc....
...and all the other fliers around you, on a moving GPS map...!
It works in multiplayer....don't know about closed local area networks (LAN) though...?

I am with the Fozz on this one I have used FSnav in the multiplayer mode and it will show other aircraft. Some VA'S use it as a radar scope but this is all on line and like Fozz I have never tried it on a LAN. Give it a shoot it will either work or not work but either way you have noting to loose by trying.
You will have to install full versions of Fsnav on all of the systems though how you do this is your business but is is considered piracy if you use methods that are not legal to activevate FSNAV. 8)

...this might have knocked that idea on the head, Gary... :'(....!

I remember it having been discussed before, LAN using FS Nav, (Luke, I think)....;)...!

It works fine in Multiplayer when all the participants have FS Navigator and are on line at different locations.

I've never tried playing over a local area network in the same building, and I don't know if its possible to do the same thing with FS Navigator on the same 'phone line using a "router?" to relay the program to different computers in the same building... :o...!

Everyone has FS 9 running with FS Navigator installed and connected via a "Router" to the 'phone line.....

...there's a thought for you...;D...!!

Paul....full of daft ideas... 8)...!

if you dont mind useing one as a deticated radar you can use ATC Radar Screen here on the V, i believe under utilities. Great program but a little complicated to install.
