this flightplan is messed up

i set up a IFR route to austrailia and i was ok until i got bremen centre when the DTK said 074 but the course line on GPS was at 090 and 074 was miles off course. what the hells gone on here. anyone??
This has never happened before. even ATC says 090 degrees is correct

I have noticed this as well but not to that amount of differance. I chalked it up to magnetic varation. I figured the GPS was the closest to being correct and the DTK did not include magnetic varation. Now that may not be the case but I am not going to loose any sleep over it. I would not worry abou it to much since the flightplaner inside FS is not what I would call verry accurate at all. So you come up with a familar phrase you hear in the computer world GIGO wich stands for GARBAGE IN GARBAGE OUT.

so should i listen to ATC then and there bearing as they have my proper flight plan

You really do not have much of a choice if you do not follow there instructions they will cancel your IFR flight plan. If you would rather follow the plan you have then file it as a VFR flight plan and then ATC will not really care where you go, as long as you stay out of restricted airspace. And I am not sure if FS has nay restricted air space or not.

Probably a simple explanation, FsNovice.

If you're substantially off-course flying IFR, ATC will instruct you to fly a course that INTERCEPTS the course you should be flying. If you do what they say, they'll turn you on to the course you SHOULD have been on soon enough, once you're back on the proper courseline.

The alternative is to make a VFR flightplan from the start, or alternatively hit 'Cancel IFR' as soon as you're airborne. Then you can do your own thing, much more restful!
