Scenery Error

Postby FLYING_TRUCKER » Sat Sep 30, 2006 7:39 pm

Hi folks:

I purchased Flight 1 Ultimate Terrain Canada/Alaska and I now have an error that pops up when I start flight sim.

Error:
-scenery.CFG File Error
-Invalid remote scenery path in scenery area .038

I have reinstalled this thing three times now and still get the same error.

Can someone walk me through this?

Any help would be much appreciated. :)

Cheers....Happy Landings....Doug

If you look in your scenery cfg file for area 38 it is more than likely pointing to the wrong folder location.
I have the same software and have no problems. Did you change the folder location at install time if so that is your problem. My scenery is located in E:/fs2004/scenery it made two folders one named UTUSA and the other UTCANDA. I have two hard drives which is why te E designation.
Below is where my Ultimate terrain installed
the local=lines should read the same way mine does

[Area.038]
Title=Ultimate Terrain - Canada/Alaska
Local=SCENERY\UTCANADA
Layer=58
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Remote=

Area.039]
Title=Ultimate Terrain - USA
Local=SCENERY\UTUSA
Layer=59
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Remote=
