The most beautiful place in FS

Postby South » Fri Sep 15, 2006 2:28 pm

I have always wondered where the most beautiful place in FS is, so i wonder what you all might have come across in FS that you really thought was the most beautiful place in FS. ;)

So what do you think?

In default FS9 the Grand Canyon and the Himalaya are two very beautiful places. If you have a better mesh than the standard for either or both, they're even better.

The mountains, lakes and fjords in the region between San Carlos de Bariloche (Argentina) and Puerto Montt (Chile).

The mountains are the best graphics on FS9 IMO. I always drop my jaw at the scenery whenever I am flying over the hills and valleys, especially when they are topped with snow. 8) But like everyone - to enjoy FS9 fully you use addon graphics to get the best out of it. ;)

Most any mountainous region of the world.  I agree that the mountains are the best in general (except for low bridges in Ozzy's honor).

If you haven't done it yet... install either payware hi rez terrina mesh...or download the free STRM terrain mesh from here at SimV.  You'll be amazed at the difference.

Personally I think Tibet is probably the best.  Want tibet on it?   ;)

best,

ireland is rather a good place to fly on flight simulator. Yes the weather is bleak most of the time and yes it is baron in places butit has some nice bigs hills and mountains.

I'm tempted to say "Beautiful British Columbia" my home, but i would have to say the Himalayas. They have some of the most exciting landings in the game as well. :o  I agree about the mesh, add on mesh really is more accurate.

My favorite is the coastal Pacific Northwest of the USA and Canada.

Mmmmm.....beauty as in 'eye of the beholder'..?     I remember years ago seeing ads for "Beautiful Bournemouth"  but where's the mesh?    Failing that, the Alps or coastal Norway?
