Gauges for the 738 panel....?

Postby TerryUK » Mon Sep 18, 2006 4:13 am

I hope this is the right place for this.?   ::)

I have just downloaded Capt.Rad J Yarjan's 738 panel. There
is an accompanying download link for the gauges.  But when I click to get them I get a warning "no such file or directory" - this is on p16 of 2004 panels, by the way.

I'd be grateful for help here as to how to get them!

Thanks,
TW.

sounds like a goof about all you can do is to keep trying and hope the designer uploads the file if not you will have to search for another panel for the plane 8)

Well - you may roll your eyes ( ::)) but I assure you I tried 'till I was blue in the face, so to speak.   BUT - eventually it worked & I got my gauges.   This Captain Yarjan 737 panel is worth the frustrating wait.   Now I must get me a decent 737 to match   ;D  Any offers?

I agree with sonic, it is very good on frame rates. and its special effects like the gliding contrails on landings are real cool!

Thanks.  I've just got it & followed directions to install it but it doesn't show up!!    Here's what I read:

"INSTALLATION

Create a 737 Experience folder inside the Fs9 aircraft Folder and unzip all files into it, move the .fx files to the main effects folder.
if you have fs2004 don't worry about the gauges, they will work from the panel folder.
if not, put them into the main gauges folder. don't forget the eicas folder and the .cab file "

The folder I created I named 737Experience, then I tried b737_700 then just b737, but nothing show up.    Umm....
any suggestions...?

Thanks Hagar - I can rely on you  ;D

I always use my desktop.    Since reading your reply I played around & clicked extract to desktop & bingo - a folder 737Exp12 appeared.  I popped it into fs9 & have just taken  it from Southampton to Bournemouth over my new autumn foliage  :P

I might put Capt Yarjin's panel in it but the one it came with looks OK.

Thanks,
Terry

Thanks for suggesting this 737 - it is brilliant.   It flies & handles well & (the best bit always comes last) lands beautifully.     :P
