Two "help" questions

Postby scatteredbomb » Wed Mar 08, 2006 6:12 pm

Couple of questions. 1) Is there any 'Air Force One' 747 for FS9. I can't seem to find one.

2) Whats some of your favorite airports? I'm looking for something medium/small, green, buildings, mountains maybe.

I like finding new airports that I really like, and I was wondering if you guys had any favorites like that, that i could try out.

FS2002 planes usually work in FS9. For a cool airport, check out Rocky Gutierrez in Sitka Alaska. Don't know if it's what your'e looking for, but I like it a lot. I'm not sure, but I think that the Identifier is PASN, could be wrong though.

(edit)

Sitka is PASI

Aircraft are naturally beautiful because form follows function. -TB

As far as airports, I like flying the fingerlakes region of New York State. I live 1/2 mile from the end of rnwy14 at Ithaca/Tompkins Regional Airport (KITH)

One airport which kinda fits your description I found for myself just buzzing around upstate Washington is Pangborn Memorial (KEAT), which serves Wenatchee.

There's lots of good VFR low level flying around there. Just follow the river.

And while I'm still here, I recommend Lake Chelan Airport (S10), which is about 25nm north up the river from Pangborn and has a rather interesting approach.

The picture runs vaguely south to north, so what you can't see is a sheer drop just in front of the near threshold. I got quite confused when I turned the corner of the river and saw a large cliff in front of me, and I was below the altitude of the airport.

If you want to go a bit north but not to far, KSAW is nice (I.E. a 12,000 foot runway), an old Cold War bomber base, it gets a plane roughly every hour, or longer, and KTVC In Traverse City Michigan, bigger but not REAL big. ;D
What do I do you ask? I struggle! Then destroy! Then try to put back together what I just broke on accident.....
