I want...

Postby Jakemaster » Sun Mar 05, 2006 11:36 am

...Something.  I tried the demo of FSNavigator yesterday.  I love the whole map thing and I really like having the map up in my 2nd monitor.  Its very useful.  But I dont really need or like the other features, so i wouldnt (nor could I) buy it.  But I love the map, and I really was wondering if there was something similar, but free.  Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but I'd love a map that doesn't show your flight progress, like the FS9 map does. A map that isn't also a GPS.. :P

Was that what ya' meant Jake?

What I mean, is I want a map.  I basically want to combine the map and gps from FS.  I want to be able to follow my aircraft, but at the same time move away from it and look for airports.  Then I want to be able to get all the info I need about the airport.  Basically I want FSNav with just the map, none of the flight planning or any of that extra stuff.

I can show you how to view sectional charts within FS, but it doesn't 'follow' your aircraft....

Have you looked here at Simv in utilities. I may be mistaken but I thought there was a similar thing there.

I use FSNav and love it but yes I can appreciate your position.

White on White fly all night.

Red on White you're alright.

Red on Red you'll soon be dead.
