FS Doesn't Work

Postby Mobius » Fri Mar 03, 2006 3:46 pm

Well, I just downloaded and installed the the FSGenesis from Avsim and I installed it like they said, and now FS gets almost to the "create of flight" screen, I can see the background of the screen and some of the buttons come up, but then FS crashes immediately after that and I can't get any farther.  I have tried uninstalling the scenery and other than that I didn't add anything, or change anything that could cause this.  Does anyone know what I can do? I am confused and sad, so now I actually have to do something this afternoon, like homework or something. :-/

:'(

Thanks. ;)

Do you have a Recent system restore point you could go back to?

I aggree, the way I fix a problem like that is to reinstall FS2004. To keep your addons make sure the checkbox to keep or delete  alll files is set to keep your files. i forget which postion it should be in, but it worked when i reinstalled FS2004. [glb]good luck![/glb]

My advice would be to install 2 copies of flight simulator and name the backup Flight Simulator 9.backup
Then if your primary copy goes you could just transfer all the files
i had to do that yester day and the onlything which needed redoing was the settings and scenery library
