Major Sim Mod

Postby Hai Perso Coyone? » Sat Feb 25, 2006 11:30 am

Just went thru a major FS modification...new callsigns...with the help of a great freeware program EditVoicePack...my...I am surprised...now my AI says "Thanks B'Bye" to the controller...sounds so polite...I love it...and I can also choose many airlines instead of actually getting a blank...I am so happy now...if you get that annoying blank for your airline too, I would suggest getting EditVoicePack...

I Want EditVoicePack...

Just thought I'd share...
Cheers all,
Ashar

Sounds cool, i'm sick of just 'being a number' with half of my aircraft! I'll go get it now.

This has got me very frustrated! Where the hell do I get Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 ?

The program says I need it for it to run and directs me to MS's website. All I can find to download directly is Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 SDK which then says it needs Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 to run, ARRGHH!

I goto the general users bit and that directs me to the automatic updates section which says my PC is uptodate and doesn't need to instal anything, ARRGHH!!

Going to bang head against wall now.........

I took one look at .Net Framework 1.1 4322...on the Microsoft site....
Download...
One hundred and six mega-byte, (106 MB)...
...taking 4-1/2 hours on a 56k dial up system... :o...!

I don't think so, my hearties... ;)...!

...and Edit VoicePack wont work without it, apparently... ;)...!

So that idea is a no-no...for me... ;D...!

Paul...."SoCal, Over and out"... 8)...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

If you can get it from windows update as your computer will only actualy need a fraction of that and windows udate will determin which files you actualy need.

It's a shame, really....
EditVoicePack is only a couple of Mega-Bytes in size, but to get it to work, involves downloading a MASSIVE file from Microsoft... :'(...!
What a bleedin' swizz... >:(...!

Windows XP update?...NAH...not possible...trust me... ;)...!

Paul...just call me 56K....;D...!

You only need the .Net Framework-Redistributable pointed to by Ashar.

Download filename=dotnetfx.exe, 23.1MB

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

P.S. Downloaded all the files/programs OK. (Took nearly 2 hours!)....... ;D...!
