system specs question.

Postby Etienne62 » Mon Feb 27, 2006 6:07 pm

Hi all,
Just wonderin if anyone will post their specs(processor, ram, graphics card) that gets decent frame rates with fs2004.
Or combat sim 3. (sorry wrong forum) but some of you may play both.
I did buy cbs3 and fs2004 but got lousy frame rates.
My system is

Amd athlon 1700+
768mb ram
xfx nvidia 6200 128mb card.

I have ordered a newer system and i wondered if you think the above games should play ok on it.

Pentium 4  640  3.2ghz
1.0gb ddr2 ram
ATI Radeon X700 512mb ddr2 graphics card.

Thanx for your attention.
ET.

Well, from the looks of it that new one should do great.  But about that X700, I didnt know they made it as a 512mb DDR2.  Mine is 256 DDR3.

Thanx Jake,
I hope so. I'll check the graphics card about what you say when it arrives.

I currently use a system that has 256 meg ram short of 1 gig
Pentium 4 2.3 ghz
A fx5200 128 meg ram
80 gig hard drive
60 gig hard drive(fs is the only thing on this hard drive
a 350 watt power supply
a 17" flat panel
I have my frame rates locked at 30 and will get at least in the mid to high 20's in the worst weather at the most detailed airport in a detailed aircraft.
I will soon be updating to a 7200 256 agp card
and will have to update to a 500 watt power supply
Look out after that.

Video card.  I used to use the Xpress 200.  The biggest change I noticed when upgrading was when I got the new card.
