Making and adding new screenshots for the startup

Postby NCGent » Thu Feb 23, 2006 9:28 pm

First I would like to thank all you simmers out there for your wonderful work and your great answers for the newbies like me. I was wondering how you add screenshots to FS9 to show on the startup screen. I have mastered repainting and now working on designing aircraft (Harder than I thought) and now I would like to change the FS9 startup screen with one of my screenshots.
Thanks. ;)

...Hi NCG..........the splashscreen is an 800X600 .bmp file called  dlgsplash.bmp and lives in a folder called Uires in the main FS9 folder....find it and rename it dlgsplashbak.bmp in case you want it back........

.......make one of your pics an 800x600 .bmp and save it in the Uires folder with the name dlgsplash.bmp..........

.......that's it...start the sim to see your new Splash screen..........commoner ;)

Thanks Commoner, that was simple enough. I followed your directions and have made my first splashscreen. Thanks again for all your help.
