Check the MIPS slider in the (FS) Settings, Display settings, hardware tab.

Set the slider to 4 or 5 and see if that helps.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Try posting a screenshot or something of the sort.  I can't follow your description well, but I remember having a problem of a sort of 'glimmering' effect on the ground textures.  And as dave3cu said, I decreased the MIPS sliders, and all was solved.

Bummer too, that's a fairly nice card.

May I suggest checking forums to ensure which video drivers are the best for FS9 using your card. Do not confuse the latest video drivers with the best video drivers. I have a nVidea Ti4200 and use two-year-old drivers. Am I happy? You bet.

It could be a problem with addon environment maps or textures.  I had a problem like this, but I was fortunate enough to make up some old files and replace them, so it began to work fine again.

Okay, fess up. Someone at the computer factory hid a vibrator in your machine.

Seriously, try a reinstall.
