Weather Problems

Is it just me or is anyone else having problems downloading real-world weather?

Hopefully this won't sound too blunt but i've had this problem before and the thing to check would be whether you are connected to the internet. May seem obvious but try that first and if that's not it then i can't help.

Find out what port the wether data is recived over and check that your routing hardware isn't blocking it.

No problemo here...!
I log on to San Francisco local news, weather forecast, and the live web cams...
Then load the real weather, (in the Sim), for the same area...
...and lo and behold...
It's exactly the same... ;D...!
'Frisco Web Cam shows dense fog.....The Flight sim shows dense fog...!!!
If it's sunny in 'Frisco then it's sunny in the sim...!!!
Super...!

Paul...Weather is weather, whether it's weather or not..;D...!

I was having doubts to the acuracy of the RW weather in FS, so I started using FSMetar, and it's so much better ;)

FSMetar... hmmm.
I've gotten tired of having to tweak the DLd wx because of things like no wind at all aloft if there no winds-aloft information available. Other than that, though, it's usually pretty accurate.

As for Fozzer's comment, dense fog or CAVU is pretty much all one ever sees in SF; hard to screw that up!! ;D
San Fransico, home of the world's most bored weathermen: ("Foggy this morning; fog clearing by 11; sunny and mild; fog overnight... yawn...").

No problems connecting, though- it's probably your service, not the program.

But it might help if you'd describe the problems... ;D

The reason I stopped using RW function in FS is because FS wasn't downloading weather for Alaska. FSMetar does, and now I can fly in weather that sucks ;D

Doubt thats it    I use comcast and it works perfectly, its probly a local problem

as for fs weather i was flying my local airport and it was grey and overcast but rw it said it was clear with 50 nm vis.  i got into the sim and it had broken clouds. so i use it sometimes but not often
