Russian flightsim update...

Postby Ivan » Mon Feb 13, 2006 6:12 am

Was about time...

OK, same as always, use babelfish for translation and avsim.ru needs priming in cyryllic before pictures show in the translated version

Aircraft
Various FSUSSR Projects
[*]Il-103: possible VC shot here. At least it doesn't look like the Mi-1 that the thread is about (and not like belonging to the other vintage thing on there either)
[*]Mi-1: some shots in this thread
[*]Other vintage stuff (seems to be 1920s-1930s): see Mi-1 thread

Yak-18
Will get a FDE update to cure the overheating. Timeframe unknown

Mi-14
Not much on this one yet. Seems to be on hold

Samdim Tu-124
Not much news on this one. Another full-cockpit one so it will take some time to complete. Pictures here.

An-28
Screenshots and download here. Avsim.ru thread lost the pictures so i won't list it here

Project Tupolev Tu-154B and M
Not too much happening here... But there is a new version of the 'Groza' radar that can display coastlines and such.

SCS / Project Tupolev Tu-134
Will get a new model sometime in the future. Focus is now on panel and FDE

Mi-6 and Mi-10
here. Be sure to view all pages as haflway the project changes to a Mi-10 (non K and looks like it will be one with 'dustbin')Might be a polygon hog (look at the rotor centers on page 3)... and status of Mi-6 unknown apart from the first gmax screenshot.

Tupolev ANT-2
Classic propliner alert!!
Development screenshots

Project Tupolev Il-62
Still in beta. Get more liveries at simfly.ru
From top to bottom (as of 13 feb 2006):
[*]Aeroflot part 2
[*]Aeroflot part 1
[*]Nightmaps (these are for both the beta release and the additional textures)
[*]Base pack? haven't looked at that one yet

Scenery
Magadan
Sokol... somewhere in very cold siberia
Screenshots

Vladivostok
Big one in the east...
Screenshots here
And another one (i think this is the main thread) here

Shymkent (Kazakhstan)
Screenshots. No textures yet...

Misc
Found another nice website, about the 'neglected' part of Russia (that's what the makers say...)
Focus is on Kamchatka, Sakhalin and anything else from Khabarovsk and further eastwards
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur

Huh... I saw "Ant-2" and was expecting to see the famous big biplane... that thing looks like an overgrown Aeronca C3... very interesting.

ANT-2 is from an age before the OKB names. And the problem is that Tupolev started from 1 again when they got the 'Tu' OKB designation.

The other name (and official project name) for the An-2 is SKh-1, which translates to 'Collective Farmer'
