Radar?

Postby Lazerbeak » Sat Feb 11, 2006 1:49 pm

I've downloaded a few planes that have a functioning radar screen (such as Kirk Olsson's F-16) that you can use to track down AI planes (as well as planes flying in multiplayer). Only problem is that whenever I try to use the radar (on any craft), it doesn't seem to show anything. I could be flying inches away from an AI plane and nothing shows up on the radar screen. Am I using it wrong? Is there something I have to do to make it work? Is it just a problem in my game?

A standard TCAS unit is pretty simple.
Put it into active mode (probably labeled TA-TA/RA) and in some cases find the button to display the aircrafts on the screen.

Might help.

well if you see the green line going around the screen its fsuipc   you need the code  other than that you do need to turn it on  but only if it is a blank green screen with no lines  just search around for the + - thing to change distance or mode

In the case of the F16.gau, do you have the FSUIPC module installed and the gauge's key 'registered' with FSUIPC?

And how would you accomplish that?

OK, we'll start over, 1 by 1;

Do you have the FSUIPC module installed?

FSUIPC is a module that is needed by some FS addons, to communicate with the sim. The 'f16.gau' radar needs it to get the info it displays.

Here is a recent post that should give you the needed info and links.http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=fs2002;action=display;num=1139546625

Note: when 'registering' a gauge in FSUIPC use the full file name, i.e.- f16.gau.
