Has anyone had any trouble installing FS9 onto their PC's and if so how did you rectify (if you did manage to rectify) the problem? ???

Town of H-gate - that sig is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too big. Uncle Mark (ozzy72) will delete it if he sees.

Are you doing the full install? That is much better than a partial one. Also if you are reinstalling make sure the old one is fully removed.

I thought My sig met the requirements, I have had it for a while now and nobody's said anything. Anyway the install is not mine just a friend who is new to simming is having problems loading the complete thing (it keeps stopping on 82% on disk 4). So I thought I would check the experience of you chaps here to see if you have come across anything like this.

Does he have enough room on his hard drive? Are the disks damaged/scratched? Give them a clean with a soft cloth.

Plenty of room on the hard drive - The program was brand new out of the packet and then a fresh one which was also brand new out of the packet. The half installed version was completely removed and then a reattempt was made to install with the "fresh disks", it got to the same place and hung again in exactly the same place (82%). Now I can understand 1 set of bad disks but not 2.

The computer is a 6 month old Siemens Fujitsu from Comet with a good size hard drive (can't remember exactly) and 512mb ram which is easily good enough to drive the progam
