Cargo door question

Postby N556EP » Thu Feb 02, 2006 1:02 pm

back in the days i was able to open the cargo doors of aircraft with shift+E+2 or what other number. Now I can not and it has been like that for a while.

No matter what aircraft, PMDG 1900, Metro etc. When ever I push the Shift+E+xxx the airstars just open or close.

Did something change? Did I change something by accident?

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Try hitting the tailhook keys and the wing fold keys...some models use those key configs....you'll have to assign them yourself though ;)

If your sure the ac have the additional working doors, and that their not mapped to some other key sequence.....

Check-Settings>Controls>Assignments-Simulator Commands and see if the keys (keyboard 1 thru 4) are still assigned to 'Select item 1' thru 'Select item 4'

Also make sure your sequence is right, i.e-Press [Shft + E], release, then press 2 (or 3 or 4).

yes they have opening cargo doors. I went to FS and I Found that i can open the caro door prior to engine start and after I start the engines and shut them down. The cargo door does not longer open any more.

Shift+E+2 just open and closes the Airstairs.

I also left the cargo door open witht he engines running and shut them down and tried to close it but still no luck only the Airstairs.

What changes when I start the engines?

Does it have anything to do with the two joysticks I have installed? I have the CH throttle quadernt and use buttons for the starters.

and a top gun for the aircraft controls.

Whats going on here?

Have you installed any new aircraft since the doors opened?
If so do they have doors that open?
Some aircraft use diferent keys to operate the doors
I recently purchsed the B727-200 Professinal from Captain Sim In order to get the air stairs and cargo doors to open I had to assign different keys other than the ones I was using. When I switch back I have to go back to the old Assignments in order to get them to work. Strange I know but the capt sim uses the other keys for different functions.
Make sure your Assignments Have not changed and the air craft does not use those keys for other functions. 8)
